My Story
I knew my life story would lead me to a coaching and mentoring journey. In my private life and my career, I have always been associated with people who needed new ideas to solve their problems in their business and personal lives, who want to know themselves and find their own path in life, who are seeking a new perspective to be able to understand themselves and systems around them, who are struggling with some career issues which brings stress, anger, anxiety, lack of performance in both business and personal lives, who are about to make a very important decision that has impact on both business and personal lives. It was priceless to see the positive outcome of our talks, my coaching and mentoring which come naturally to me.
My Background
I have a bachelor of science degree from Hacettepe University Food Engineering Faculty. After my graduation as an engineer, I realized that my path was moving towards more than just being an Engineer. To be able to honor my extrovert style I needed to discover more in life and see the world from a bigger perspective. My initial step was to start the “Business Management Certificate Program” in Marmara University. This was for me one of the most important milestones of my life. This enlarged the scope of my life; more possibilities, challenges, strength and seeing myself in a bigger world.
In my corporate career, which I was in for more than 25 years, I started as a sales engineer in Turkey, mainly in the B2B sector. Later in my career, I worked as a sales manager, country manager and commercial director in multinational companies, and in several management positions such as Regional Sales Manager and European Distributors Manager in the Netherlands. I also provided management consultancies to multinational companies. (As a part of re-organisation, I was responsible for the remodelling of new ways of doing business, improving profit margin, effective human resource management, leadership and interim management)
Of course, the extensive training I received in my career contributed greatly to my development. The most important second milestone for me was the Leadership Skills training, which I attended in South Africa for a week, organized in-house in 1997. This program helped me both to further reveal my leadership qualities and to be a more effective manager in the teams and institutions I worked in the following years. With this expertise, it is my greatest wish to help the younger generations discover themselves and their management styles at the beginning of their careers and take the leadership of their own lives both in their careers and private matters. Years later, I received intensive training from the program coordinator in order to be able to facilitate and deliver this wonderful program myself, which I see now, Leadership Styles training as an integral part of my life, along with Coaching and Mentoring.
I have been involved in many successful projects in multinational companies during my corporate life. I have achieved successful results in many different projects such as managing teams within the framework of the company's change policies, increasing profitability with target and people-oriented approaches, ensuring customer satisfaction, increasing employee motivation, success and company loyalty, eliminating internal communication problems, creating and implementing new ideas. Leadership, people and goal-oriented management have always come to the forefront as the most powerful concepts in my life. They have helped me make significant contributions to the company's systems at critical moments, with my problem solving and crisis management capabilities. These experiences allow me to be a more effective coach and mentor.
I brought transformations to the projects and tasks I was involved in, as well as the transformations I brought to the people I worked with. I made great contributions with my unique style in revealing the potential of people and discovering their values. By enabling people to know themselves better and realize their potential, I help guide profound transformations that brought positive reflections in both their career and private lives. Inspired by these transformations, I chose to leave my corporate life and started to take a step towards professional coaching.
I have conducted more than one hundred coaching sessions across several countries since completing my professional coaching training with EMCC and ICF accreditations. In this coaching journey, I have worked with people from different age groups and from different management positions. I have supported the younger individuals still in the early stages of their careers in taking action towards their goals with exercises such as discovery of values, finding their life purpose, revealing goals and realizing potentials. I also achieved successful results by advancing together with senior and middle level managers in this journey by applying different coaching techniques in solving the problems they experienced in their careers and in relation also in their private lives, by removing the blockages they encountered in the areas they had been stuck in for a long time.
